Presis Oppgjør AS processes personal data about you when we carry out property settlements, when you contact us and when you visit our website. This policy explains what data we process, why, on which legal basis, how long we keep it and what rights you have. All processing follows the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
1. Who is responsible
Presis Oppgjør AS is the controller for the processing described here, with the exceptions in section 2.

2. Controller or processor
- We are the controller for data processed for our own purposes — e.g. when you contact us directly, when we meet our own legal duties under the Anti-Money Laundering Act and the Bookkeeping Act, and for visits to our website.
- We are a processor when we carry out settlements on behalf of an estate agent, lawyer or other client. The client is then the controller, and we process the data on their instructions under a data processing agreement.
If you bought or sold a home through an agent, contact your agent first. You can always contact us, and we will forward the request to the right controller.
3. What data we process
- Identification data: name, national identity or D-number, copy of ID, date of birth, citizenship
- Contact details: address, email, phone number
- Data about the property and the settlement: purchase contract, deed, mortgage documents, account number, settlement statement, correspondence
- Data we must collect under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, including the origin of funds and any beneficial owners
- Technical data from website visits: IP address, browser and device information and data stored in cookies
We do not process special categories of personal data unless required to meet a legal obligation.

We use suppliers that process personal data on our behalf, e.g. for IT operations, email, case management and archiving, all under data processing agreements. Personal data is stored on servers in Norway. Transfers outside the EU/EEA only happen with a valid basis under GDPR chapter V, such as an adequacy decision or the EU standard contractual clauses (SCC) combined with an assessment of the recipient country.
